To keep your hot tub cover in top condition try to leave it open for 10 mins when you add chemicals to your spa water as the chemicals give off gases when they first enter the water and if those gases are trapped under the cover they will eat away at the cover over time

Adding Chlorine

When you add Chlorine granules to the water, make sure you sprinkle them in the middle of the tub to avoid getting granules on the shell where they won’t dilute and may cause burns if contact is made to the skin of bathers.

Fake Tan

Try to avoid bathers wearing fake tan and other heavy body lotions etc as they will cause havoc with your spa water.

Cleaning filters

Once you’ve cleaned your filters you must dry them before putting them back into the spa. It may seem crazy to dry something that is about to go into water but the drying action allows the filter pores to close which makes them more effective

Toys

Make sure all objects like toys, cloths, spa bugs are removed when changing the filters as often these can get sucked into the pipework causing breakdown and a heavy repair bill.

Avoid dragging cover across the ground which can cause damage to the cover which will allow water ingress in time and cause excessive weight resulting in an expensive cover replacement. Ideally fit a cover lifter.
